Teaching staff

Holbeck College was founded by Chris Worfolk.

Chris is a psychologist and yoga teacher. He holds an MSc in Psychology from Leeds Beckett University. His dissertation was the first paper to examine the effectiveness of mindfulness mHealth apps in clinical populations.

Accreditations

Chris is a graduate member of the British Psychology Society, Yoga Alliance registered teacher and certified coach with IRONMAN. Our qualifications are accredited by the International Association of Therapists (IAOTH).

Timeline

  • 2013

    Chris founds the mental health charity Anxiety Leeds. Run at a local hospital it provides a drop-in support group for anyone struggling with anxiety and panic attacks.

  • 2016

    Chris begins teaching psychology online. Initially focused on anxiety, the courses soon expand to cover a wider range of mental health conditions, and then further still to include all aspects of wellbeing.

  • 2017

    Chris co-founds Leeds Anxiety Clinic, a private psychotherapy practice offering one-to-one treatment.

  • 2020

    Holbeck College opens its doors with a mission to bring psychology and wellness training to a wider range of students.
